HISTORY

Rosy’s administrators, Sunday "Sunny" and Rosy Uzuh, the founders of Rosy  Foundation, understand first hand the ailing state of fair and accessible healthcare. Watching numbers of indigent and elderly patients “fall through the cracks,” of coverage, not affording them some of the basic elements of consistent medical care, the Uzuhs and took action.

Together, the couple shares a strong personal dedication to administering a high level of professional healthcare to the entirety of the population who needs it, including those without the resources to afford the growing cost of medical care and coverage.

The two, though collaborating from diverse concentrations share a vision of egalitarian health coverage for all. Foundation namesake, Rosy A. Uzuh, began in education teaching students in North Dallas. After a hands-on experience attending to patients at Austin, Texas’s Seton Home Care agency, administering medication and assisting patients in developing self-help skills, Uzuh, with husband Sunny, opened the Rosy Health Care Service where she handles the entirety administration. Sunday “Sunny” Uzuh grew up in Nigeria where limited access to health care and treatment was dire and routine. He left Africa in 1977 to pursue a degree in Economics from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Uzuh then achieved a doctorate in economics at the University of Texas at Dallas. He also gleans from over twelve years of progressive experience in various administration positions including his role as a utility economist at the City of Austin’s water and waste facility, where he conducted continual audits, surveys and development of the system’s efficiency in relation to its monthly fund summary and financial report.
